works perfectly, no problems at all, It starts up straight away..

I bought this webcam to use with Skype in Ubuntu 9.10 and it works pretty much straight out of the box (no drivers or software required). The only thing to note was that to get the microphone to work, I had to open System-Preferences-Sound and select the correct mic input; after that everything was fine and I was Skyping within minutes.

I am using this Webcam with Windows 7 and Skype. Have not installed any Logitech software just the drivers from the Windows update service.
Build quality seems fine. Using a headset microphone (rather than the built-in one) to get better quality sound. Picture seems OK. White levels, colour balance and brightness are all automatic.

For the price, this small.. Gray little thing was disappointing when i opened it. Not too attractive, i thought i've wasted my money. I hooked it up.. My god, it sure as hell beats the one i've had for 6 years! Perfect quality when streaming on MSN or Skype, nice recording... It's a good camera, if you can trust in a strangers opinion. I would recommend buying it highly !

For a simple camera that is not high resolution this is probably the best you can get. Mac user beware that if your OS system is not 10.4 or above this will not work.
